Roltec  Sp.  z  o. o. (ROL) is a private company focused on developing and implementing the thin-film technology of CIGS photovoltaic cells.

Its areas of expertise are magnetron sputtering, thermal evaporation, buffer layers optimisation,  laser scribing, and solar cell measurements.

ROL   has developed its manufacturing process for large-scale,  fully laser-scribed  CIGS  solar cells that are currently implemented in a pilot line in  Poland.

Additionally, ROL plans to commission a 50MW CIGS factory by  2023. 

Moreover, their activity focuses on upscaling prototype cells to large-scale production. ROL holds the PL427122A1 patent for CIS / CIGS thin layer manufacturing method for solar cells.  In the project, they will support the  development  of a scalable preparation process for CIGS solar cells.
